How to Measure for Hockey Elbow Pads
Proper elbow pad fit is crucial for protection and mobility on the ice. Follow these steps to find your perfect size:
Forearm Length
Holding arm at 90 degrees, measure from back of the elbow to wrist crease.
Fit Guidelines
- Elbow cap placement: The hard cap should sit directly over your elbow bone
- Forearm coverage: Pads should extend from just below the bicep to the top of your glove cuff
- No gaps: When wearing shoulder pads and gloves, there should be no exposed skin
- Mobility test: You should be able to bend and extend your arm freely without the pads shifting
- Strap security: Straps should hold pads firmly in place without cutting off circulation
